Hector was my son whom I loved​and served to the best of my​abiilty while he was with​me.We danced together, played​music together, played squash,​table tennis, spoke of life​and attitudes and were as​closer as a father and son​could be.His success was not​due to me as his achievements​were his own endeavour.What I​did was to provide the​opportunity for him to​succeed, the talent, the​enthusiasm ,and expression was​certainly his.He was a​magnificent son to me and his​mother Rika.He deeply loved​his caring sister Sophia who​has a burden of suffering that​this loss has created.Being in​Greece at the time of this​tragedy was a God send.To​experience the love flowing​from Hector's wife, Evie,​her absolutely selfless acts​and thoughts, have​demonstrated to me of the​wonderful love between Hec.​and his wife.Her Spartiatica​attitudes are shining through​although the mountain of life​facing her and her two​children without their Husband​and Dad is​immense.Hector's friends​have been filling the house​here in Greece every day since​his departure. The grief​expressed by all is truly​remarkable.He with his​approach, being gentleness and​forthright has touch their​hearts as well as his music in​which he has along with a​small band, reintroduced music​that was not being performed,​acoustically for 50​years.Hector, you were a great​guy, son, brother, husband,​father, friend. and an example​to us all on how to live our​lives.I love you my dear Son,​as all do in your family,​Evie, and the chidren​Phoebe,and Daphnie.Your many​fiends also send their​farewells.While you are making​your Megalo Taxithi we, with​our tears will be consoled by​the sound of your violin and​baglama and be brought to​laughter by your humour.Yia​Sou Pethi Mou (Farewell my​son).
